«Before joining the Monster Battle Arena.»
1- Change to a tank class.
2- Get Kimoso's quest in Aven.
3- What gear should be equipped?
«After being teleported to the Arena but before the start of the first round.»
4- Change your pet to combat mode.
5- Break the barrel and equip the weapon.
6- Keep breaking barrels.
7- Which weapon should I equip my monster with?
8- Fortify your Arena's weapons. (Optional)
«Fighting»
9- Don't rush in!
10- Slidecasting, the Hit-n-Run tactic.
11- Watch out for debuffings!
12- So, which boss first?
Special Note:
1- Change to a tank class.
Attack power is mainly given by the Arena's weapon.
However Defense is mainly given by your character itself.
Tank classes (Warrior, Knight, Templar, Dragon Knight) have better defense stats.
All the other classes are too squishy in my opinion, but Samurai gives the Katana bonus which is good.
With a tank class I get a 75% win rate, with melee a little above 50% and with ranged, healing or magical I get less than 40%.
However don't forget that after 5 wins in an arena with 1 class, you'll earn less CCMs per win if you keep using that same class.

2- Get Kimoso's quest in Aven.
Before joining MBA, go to Aven and take the quest from Kimoso.
A monster battle, or match if you prefer, has several rounds.
The first team to win 3 rounds, wins the match.
If you win 2 matches you complete the quest, which gives you 2 chests. These chests usually give you Warstones.
Don't forget to deliver the quest after completing the quest.
You can only do 1 quest per day.
You can't take another MBA quest before delivering the one you already have.
So if you forget to deliver the quest, the next day you won't be able to take another one. It happened to me, it's not cool!
Also don't forget after completing 2 matches, it doesn't matter if you won or not, to open the Recommended Events window and click the MBA event which gives the +5% to all physical resistances buff!

3- What gear should be equipped?
Gear that gives you Resistance or Moving speed is good.
Gear that has debuff cancelling procs is also good (refrain from using those which say they don't work on Bosses, I don't know if they do or not).
Gear that gives a good amount of Defense, Attack speed or Cast speed is good too.
Gear that gives more attacking and critical power is only useful if they make a significant improvement (not likely).
Wis makes you heal better, but since not every monster has healing skills it's not that important.
Block is useless.
Maybe Parry is useful, it's hard to know for sure though.
I don't think I ever seen a MBA monster missing an attack, with the amount of Acc that Arena's weapons give getting more Eva or Acc is useless.
These are the Trophies and accessories I use, it's not a recommendation since you may have better options, but this is what I have for now and I'm putting it here for reference:
Olsin's trophy - attacking or casting gives 15% chance to cancel a negative status, Wis +34
Ebaster's trophy - attacking or casting gives 15% chance to cancel a negative status, fire +10
Ripple necklace - attacking gives 3% chance to triple hit effect
ring - slash +5, dark +8
ring - strike +5, fire +8, holy +8
Hedgehog cape - 20% chance to reflect 10% damage received
As for certificates, the best option is to start with 4 Ranged (green) certificates, for the Atk and M-atk bonus.
Then use 2 Melee (orange) certificates, to get Hp, Agi or P-Atk boosts.
Or use 2 Healer (blue) or 2 Magical (purple) certificates for M-dmg boosts.
Don't use more than 2 of each kind so you'll get the combination bonus.
There are a few potions that help, like Agi potions and War or Magician potions from the Anura racial crafting. You can also use Tank potions but they don't improve Defense very much.

4- Change your pet to combat mode.
Your pet will be in pick-up drops mode by default when you arrive at the Arena.
Although pets aren't as important in MBA as they're in other PvP modes, they're still very helpful.

5- Break the barrel and equip the weapon.
There are 3 glowing circles in the ground of the chamber you're transported to.
In the middle of each circle there's a barrel.
Go to one of the circles and break the barrel.
There are 2 weapons in Monster Arena. Ragnarok the katana and Penthos the staff.
Pick the weapon dropped (if your pet hasn't done it already), open your backpack, search and equip it.
You need to equip the weapon while you are still inside the glowing circle or else you won't heal for the 300.000 hp!
If you don't equip the weapon and heal, you'll be DEAD with 1 HIT!

6- Keep breaking barrels.
As I said there are 2 weapons in MBA.
Different monsters get better results with 1 or the other weapon.
Since you become a different monster every round, you may need to switch from one of the weapons to the other.
So it's best to get both weapons.
Every time you break a barrel you'll get one of the 2 randomly.
You can break 5 or more barrels and still getting only one type of the weapons, but eventually you'll get both.
Don't go from barrel to barrel, it doesn't matter, don't waste time and keep at the same barrel.
The time breaks between rounds are only 30 seconds long and you might have better things to do (like calming yourself or changing your certificates for the next monster) than to go breaking barrels.
The period before the first round however is a little more than 1 minute, so it's the best time to get both weapons and get rid of this worry.
The disadvantage is that you'll need at least 2 open slots in your backpack. I usually try to clean my backpack before going to MBA so I can have the most open slots as possible.
Another advantage for getting several weapons of each kind is that they don't have all the same P-Atk or M-Atk. They range between 100% and 120% so you might want to try to get a better Ragnarok or Penthos.
Just don't spend too much time on this either, after getting 2 or 3 of each weapon you should stop, choose the best one of each type and prepare for fighting.

7- Which weapon should I equip my monster with?
Hover your mouse over your monster's skills. If they say they raise P-Atk then equip the Ragnarok. If it's M-Atk then equip the Penthos.
Basically the ones with P-Atk are Melee type monsters, and the ones with M-Atk are Ranged type monsters, basically!
There are some however which have both kinds of skills, physical and magical.
In this situation usually I choose the Penthos because usually the magical skill raises M-Atk a lot more than the one raising P-Atk, so it has potentially more damaging power.
I also prefer magical attacks to melee attacks, so your mileage may vary.

8- Fortify your Arena's weapons. (Optional)
The Monster Arena weapons can be fortified 4 times with level 20 or 30 power scrolls.
Fortifying 2 weapons to level 4 on every match would require hundreds of scrolls every week, so I only fortify when I'm guessing that having an extra bit of attack power may be decisive, but most times I don't even care.
Each fortification takes 5 seconds to make.
You also need to unequip and re-equip your weapon, and if you don't switch between Arena's weapons to always have 1 equipped while you're fortifying the other that means you'll need to go back to the glowing light to heal again!
So take that into consideration.

9- Don't rush in!
By rushing in I mean running to the center of the arena as if you're in a race to see who gets to the other side first!
If you're one of the lowest leveled players in the match.
If you're playing a ranged monster.
If your gear is just average.
If you're a newbie.
Don't rush in!
You will want to keep some distance from your teammates in order to avoid having all of you being caught by some enemy's AoE, so it's better to move in diagonal a bit instead of just running straight up.
There are however 2 situations where you can be bolder.
When you're the only melee monster in your team, you need more or less to act as a tank, trying to attract the attention of your opponents into you, while your teammates attack from a ranged position. Don't overdo it though, you need to keep alive too.
The other situation is when your monster performs best with slidecasting.

10- Slidecasting, the Hit-n-Run tactic.
Now we can use instant skills while running using our keyboard's Q-W-E-A-S-D keys. This means without the need to stop, wait for the animation and start moving again.
We can attack while running, wait for the cooldown while running and then use the skill again, all without stop running.
This is what slidecasting is.
As for all the skills that have a casting time, because we need to stop to use them it means those can't be used for this tactic.
Why is slidecasting good?
Well because a moving target is a lot harder to hit. Yes, even in a game with auto-target as Eden Eternal.
If you keep running the enemies' pets will have a hard time to get you, just like in the other arenas. But with slidecasting you don't need to let them catch you when you use a skill.
You can also get out of range from enemies' ranged attacks a lot easier in MBA because not only the Arena is bigger than in 3v3 but also because monsters are faster. So you can run away, get out of range and sight, go behind your adversary, attack him and go away again, without stopping, making it harder for them to hit you back.
Some monsters are specially good for this cause all or at least their best skills can be slidecast. Bear boss which name I can't recall, I'm looking at you!
I suck at this, but with practice you may master this tactic. It will give you a tremendous advantage if well used. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!
However there's the reverse of a coin too. If you abuse of this tactic with a monster that doesn't have a ranged skill, your enemies may just leave you and focus on your teammates giving them a temporary numeric advantage.
Also beware some people hate players who use this tactic. You may hear some nasty remarks.

11- Watch out for debuffings!
Monsters in MBA can be frozen, slept, stunned, frightened, disarmed, etc...
These are all bad and pretty much unavoidable sooner or later.
But as bad as they are, they just make you more or less defenseless to enemy attacks.
Most of the times the shear HP bulk of your monster can withstand a couple rounds of these.
The one you MUST keep an eye to is what I call the broken heart debuff.
When you are debuffed with this baby, you'll lose 50k HP (50.000!) every time you attack an enemy. Each attack. Each enemy. You can lose 150k in just one of your attacks.
So when you're debuffed with this one, DON'T ATTACK ANYONE!
There's also fake broken heart debuffs. These look like the real one but they're a lot softer. One example is the one cast by the monster Shirio was playing.
There's another important debuff. Well, it's really a buff not a debuff.
It's a buff that heals you whenever someone attacks you. So it's good if you have a monster that can cast it on yourself, but if you notice your target with this buff, DON'T ATTACK THEM! You'll just be healing them.
The problem is that it's even harder to spot it before it's too late.
I didn't take a screenshot of it yet, but it's a yellow icon with a bleeding hand on it.

12- So, which boss first?
This question is even harder to answer in MBA than in the regular 3v3 arena.
It depends on which monsters are in each round and which players are in the match.
The rules of the thumb are:
Go for the ranged/support monsters first and go for the higher level players first.
However if you're attacking someone a lot higher leveled than you, remember you'll do a lot less damage to them than them to you. It's an unfair deal, so if you're in a melee monster weigh the pros and cons.
If you can't decide, the best thing to do is to attack a monster which is already being attacked by one of your teammates.
It's easier to say which monsters you should leave for last.
The froggy monsters should be left for last cause they suck.
Guillaume, Herak, Jiro, Stella are some that for a reason or another I deem less dangerous too.
[Captain Obvious]
If you are planning on doing MBA often, knowing the monsters is your top priority.
Don't waste time chasing a running monster/player specially if they are slidecasting.
Numeric superiority is a must in MBA, so as soon a you get rid of one of your opponents the better.
By the same token, avoid to be caught all alone by your enemies. You'll be done very quickly if it's 2 or 3 against you.
Another thing, if you see an enemy standing still on the spawning point at the beginning of the first round, it may be a good idea to throw a jab or 2 at them, as they just might be temporarily AFK or with lagging issues. They might be able to join the fight soon enough so if you take them down that's one less enemy to worry about for the first round. Just don't spend too much time on this, if you can't kill them in a few seconds leave it. I'm guessing this is the main reason why high level players rush in to the other side of the arena.
But later on the round or in the next rounds it means that guy/gal is just a AFKer, DON'T waste time going for them first. That's stupid and may cost your team a win. Don't be that guy!

Special Note:
Cruel "Gamebreaker" Kasi
This is the most OP of all the boss monsters in the MBA.
With this guy even a slowpoke like me can win alone over 3 guys if they don't play as a team. I know it cause I did it before!
The 1st skill, "Collapsing Blow" (orange) is a physical melee attack which I don't use much but it's fast. It's instant (can be slidecast) and has just 1 second of cooldown.
The 2nd skill, "North Sea Tide" (purple) is a magical AoE with an Atk, Def and M-Atk debuff which can be stacked and cannot be removed. It says it's instant but it has a short casting time, nevertheless when equipped with the Penthos gives a nice damage. The CD is 12 seconds.
The 3rd and 4th skills, both called "Horrors of War" (yellow) are the ones that make this guy OP. They heal the caster and give a reflect buff. Both can be slidecast.
The 3rd heals 9855 hp, removes debuffs and gives 200% reflect for 8 seconds. Has 12 seconds of cooldown.
The 4th heals 13797 hp and gives 100% reflect for 5 seconds. Has 12 seconds of cooldown.
This means you can just go around your enemies, healing and buffing yourself with one of the buffs, then after a few seconds heal and buff with the other, keeping yourself buffed, letting your opponents hurt themselves, and once in a while, stop, AoE time, can't touch this, resume running, repeat...
