On Saturday the sixteenth (3-16-13) we will be hosting an improv event. This event requires a number of members to participate, and an even amount. If, for whatever reason, we have an odd amount of participants, I will take place of the missing person. Make sure you can be there if you want to be in this event. The meeting place is by the docks, coordinates found in the guild messages under Offical Channel and Meetup. There will be a thirty minute free time before the event for everyone to show up. The event will start at 4pm, Eastern Standard Time (Server time). If there is any reason I am unable to come to the event (Life happens) it will be held at the same time on Sunday, the next day.
Now, the part where you find out what you actually have to do. Two days before the event, I will randomly pair off all the contestants into a two-man team. As I said, if there is an odd duck out the night before the event, I will play as their partner. On the night before the event, I will post up the paired teams. The purpose of improvisational acting means you don't have much time to think out an act, you have to be spur-of-the-moment. You will each be given time before the start of your act to collaborate something, and it will be timed. Each act will be minimum 1 minute 30 seconds, maximum 2 minutes. If you go over your 2 minute time, you will be cut off.
What's the Prize? The winning team will each receive a <Baby Phoenix>. Once you use this item (it is consumed) an egg will appear. Over the course of three minutes it will grow into a chick and then die. When it dies, a small crystal takes it's place. Destroy that crystal to receive a random item and your egg back. This item can be used every three minutes. Random fact, if anyone is curious, the Phoenix egg is a level 75 racial craft from the Anuran race.
A warning about this item: never use it next to guild town buildings. The chick can walk inside, and if it dies inside, you will be unable to retrieve it. Never go afk when using it. If someone else kills the crystal, the egg can be stolen. Your best bet is to use it while alone in a dungeon.
Participants MUST post in this thread. If not enough people (At least five teams) do not join, the event will not be held. Post your in-game name, and use the character that is in the guild, if you have alts. The winning team will be judged by the other players once everyone has done their skit. Good luck to all participants.
One more note: If you don't post your character name, I won't know who you are, and you won't be able to participate.
